Our kitty party would be just another indoor affair, but then an amazing thing happened…

To all the home-maker readers, won't you agree that one of the liveliest and sporty times that you spend has to be during kitty parties? Yes right? I know. I have been organizing these monthly parties for around 5 yrs to the least. Now, the thing with this kind of parties is that they are more of a social experiment. Throughout those weeks ahead, the host wracks her brain so much to decide what NEW can be done that she almost loses a dozen of her hair strands out of temporary stress. Haha! Isn’t it true? Themes range from Bollywood divas to beach rave, from Halloween festivity to Women’s day celebs and what not. Ladies are absolutely filled with creativity and event management from their childhood days and I undoubtedly consider this as a pure fact. Just last month, I had arranged my kitty party to have a “Ravish Red” theme. Shiny red lights, red balloons, spongy saliva activating red velvet cake, crimson aisle runner with flower pot containing dark red roses, dress code as Valentine Red and every little item that could be decked up in red was arranged. Even the eating plates were not spared. Trust me. And it looked just like- Wow.
This time it was one of my friends chance to steer the event. A brilliant idea clicked to her mind.

“3 days Kitty-group ladies only trip”

Sounds awesome right? It actually brought us chilled goosebumps. A plan like this was never expected, nor discussed. But this idea was given to her by none other than her entrepreneur husband. He had started his travel company that runs a “women’s special tours” a few months back and hence suggested to take us for a trip to the pink city- Jaipur.
I won’t say that we agreed in the first instance. Safety, out-from-home, family, first ever time etc. These reasons shrouded every lady, but thanks to Pradeep for making us feel sure and safe about this decision since that was what his venture was built upon- To guarantee the safest solution to women travel. Two days later we saw ourselves sitting excitedly in the traveler. The journey had begun!!

Why Jaipur? With utter intelligence, Pradeep very cunningly picked up a place which very well represents the likes of women. The city beauty, the artistic work of ancient palaces, the serene lakes, pious places and works of art encapsulated the general inclination of all of us. He knew it very well and hence, arranged a well-planned trip. We were thrilled all throughout. The kitty-laden theme did not leave us here too. We ordered matching tops and accessories for a day, brought in a DSLR and clicked as many candid pictures as possible with black shades on and with all sort of civilized positions. And by the way as fascinating as it sounds, this city is really in pink tinge everywhere. What an amazing view to see all building clad in pink paint and its history as well. Did you know that Maharaja Ram Singh painted the whole city pink as a sign of hospitality towards Queen Victoria and The Prince of Wales?

These little facts made our trip filled with awesome memories. Those 3 days labeled as “Kitty group trip” has been one of the best-remembered trips so far.
